Java CAPS/MQ

 

Java CAPS is a middleware product used for enterprise integration solution. It uses JMQ, a server for messaging purposes. The purpose of the project was to identify performance bottlenecks and capacities of these products in a set of pre-defined test scenarios.

 

Role:

·       Conduct meetings with developer, for understanding performance requirements of the project.

·       Analyze the tool required for MQ Performance Test execution.

·       Develop a POJO performance test framework.

·       Execute tests and identify performance bottlenecks.

FedEx Performance Test Team

 

Performance Test Lab and Center of Excellence certifies applications for supporting loads that are anticipated in Production environments. This is pre-production testing where Performance related issues are identified, isolated and tuned and rectified so that the application will scale up to the expectations in Production.

 

Role:

 

·       Conduct meetings with developer, design, and services groups for understanding performance requirements of the project.

·       Write a Test Plan for execution of the Performance Test

·       Schedule, conduct and sign-off the plan with the developer and environment team(DBA's and SysAdmin's)

·       Develop scripts to simulate the load, (Parametrise, Correlate and Optimise.)

·       Execute tests and  identify performance bottlenecks.

·       Analyze test results and communicate certify the applications.

The project is used to track, log, monitor applications submitted for Sun’s Java Verified Testing. (www.javaverified.com)

Sony:                             Connect Musicstore (http://musicstore.connect.com)

 

Sony Connect™ is an online musicstore with over a million tracks in its catalogue.

The musicstore service is offered in a browser embedded within the SonicStage client. The client is used to manage the purchased music, registering portable devices, transferring music onto portable devices and burning audio CDs. Scope of work here is to develop plugins.

 

Role:

 

·       Developed a plugin for migration of  test scripts from Excel to Silk Central

·       Developed a plugin for Perforce configuration management in Silk Central.

 

Shopzilla

 

This project integrates Advertisement API from partners, Google Adwords, Yahoo (formerly Overture), MSN Keywords and provides a complete Keyword based Automated Bidding System. Involved in developing a performance test framework for the application. Worked on Agile testing methodologies using SCRUM.

Worked as a Senior Software Engineer on development of an in-house ETL tool using Java Technologies.

 

Worked with client, Robert Bosch India, on creating an adapter using Apache POI for manipulating the excel documents using Java.

·       Involved in migrating the code from BEA Weblogic server to Pramati Application Server.

·       Worked on MPI integration code and screens for Verified by Visa Authentication.

·       Developed adapter code in JSP, ASP, Perl and PHP.

Infogen: A product that believes that code should not be handwritten by generated from model.

Web layer code, presentation and JDBC code is generated in Struts.

Code generation for CRUD operations is done in JDBC. 

Code follows strict MVC pattern.

 

OLTP: An e-Governance project done for Government of Andhra Pradesh using Microsoft Technologies, ASP.NET, COM components and MS SQL Server. This project was inaugurated by Bill Gates when he came to India.

My First freelance project developed around the year, 2000. It uses frames. At that time, having frames was the trend. It uses a Site search and map facilities from freefind.com that make it a bit dynamic, otherwise just a static site with hyperlinks.
